Def Leppard’s new song “Just Like 73” (featuring Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine) has been released, just in time for the band’s Summer Stadium Tour with Journey!

Rick Savage had been teasing the song’s release, mentioning it in a recent interview with Stereogum:
“This is hot off the press, but we have just mastered a one-off single, and playing on it is Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine, who was a huge fan back in the day when he was growing up. High ‘n’ Dry was like his Bible. He’s playing a solo on our new single, it’s going to be out there pretty soon.”
A leftover from Def Leppard’s Diamond Star Halos album project, this glam-ish track is written by Phil Collen, Joe Elliott, and Dave Bassett (who also co-wrote Def Leppard’s Diamond Star Halos song “Kick” with Phil), and it might remind some listeners of Def Leppard’s “C’mon, C’mon” and Gary Glitter’s “Rock & Roll Part II.”
